Contest Winners

I’ve not posted here in awhile, but that’s mainly because I’ve had nothing much to post about.  I’ve done very little of my usual sort of 3D since the 1701-F; my artistic urges have been hovering elsewhere recently, along with my time and energy (thanks to work).

The primary things I’ve been puttering around with lately are a couple of Google Sketchup models for our (tabletop roleplaying) campaign.  Nothing too complex, just some buildings (to join a few that predate this weblog).  I might post about these later.  Oh, but I do have a bit of published artwork in the latest edition of the Nobilis RPG (which is technically already available in PDF form here, but print is coming soon too at the former site).  You can see the more relevant, 3D pic (and even order a print, should you be so inclined) over on deviantArt.

Cryptic did finally announce the winners of their contest.  Over a month late, which meant that I simply had stopped checking very often, but I had the news some time ago.  Obviously I wasn’t one of the winners, otherwise it might have occurred to me to post about it here sooner.

Unsurprisingly, some of the winning entries I was expecting, and some were surprising.  Some I liked, and a few I did not.  Regardless, congratulations to all the winners.

One of my friends does fan videos, and has made noises about undertaking a Trek-related project recently.  I’m no actor and am typically camera-shy, so I’m more likely to be involved in a starship design and modeling capacity.  (Which should not be taken to imply that Trek starships are all that I do, contents of this weblog thus far notwithstanding.)

I’m currently contemplating a major personal project, but I think I’ll want a separate weblog for that.
